REISEN HAMBURG 2015 With Many Novelties

Cruising is the 2015 theme. New hall for bicycle tourists. 900 exhibitors in eight halls to showcase latest products and trends at the biggest holiday, caravanning, outdoor and cycling exhibition of the north

“Setting sail!” is the slogan for the focal theme of REISEN Hamburg 2015, the biggest holiday, caravanning, outdoor, and cycling exhibition of the North. “We are taking up the tremendous wave of interest in cruising – exploring the seas and the major rivers,” says Bernd Aufderheide, President and CEO Hamburg Messe und Congress. “Hamburg is a popular cruise destination, making it the ideal venue for that.” Alongside cruises, visitors will find eight exhibition halls packed with travel ideas for familiar and exotic destinations in Germany and all over the world. All in all, more than 900 exhibitors will be displaying their packages and programmes for the next holiday along with bikes, camper vans, caravans and equipment from 4 to 8 February 2015.

Theme Islands For A First Taste

In keeping with the slogan “Don’t dream it, come by”, various activity areas and theme worlds will give visitors a full taster of their travel region or activity in the exhibition halls. For instance, them worlds are planned on subjects such as “Fairy Tale Holidays”, and exotic speciality trips. There will also be a theme world on adventure and outdoor holidays. A “Walking Village” will showcase options for active people who enjoy walking in wild and untamed landscape in their holidays or leisure time. The Danish Tourism Board will take up this concept with a stand designed as an activity area to give visitors a real impression of Scandinavian lifestyle.

International Destinations in Two Exhibition Halls

If you enjoy exploring countries and cultures around the globe, you will find an extensive range of international offers in two large exhibition halls (B5 and B7). German holiday destinations, attractive cities and regional tour operators will present their products and programmes in three exhibition halls.

Dedicated Hall for Bikes and Cycle Trips

Another innovation at REISEN HAMBURG 2015 is the dedicated hall (B1) for e-bikes and bicycles, where the latest models from leading brands, equipment, cycle tours and holidays will be showcased. To try out which electric bike best meets their needs, a test track will be provided for visitors. At the event area’s stage, experts will give useful tips on everyday aspects and leisure activities on two wheels, and six long-distance bikers talk on their adventures in the course of their amazing cycle trips.

Everything for Campers and Caravanners

For those looking for holidays and leisure activities in campervans or caravans, REISEN HAMBURG will display the latest models from leading manufacturers and dealers, with Fendt, Hobby and Knaus Tabbert present with stands. Campers and caravanners will find a range of models in two exhibition halls (A1 and A4) – from compact versions to luxury vans.

Surveys and Awards

Interesting insights into leisure activities of the Germans will be presented by the Foundation for Future Studies, an initiative of British American Tobacco (BAT). Prof Dr Ulrich Reinhardt, Scientific Head of the Foundation, will talk in the findings of the 31st “German Tourism Analysis” on the first day of the fair. Also on the first day, the German Automobile Club ADAC will grant the Tourism Awards for Hamburg and Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. They honour particularly innovative ideas and projects for tourism in these two states.
