The eighth hanseboot ancora boat show takes to the water in Neustadt, Holstein from May 26-28, 2017. Then, professionals, amateur sailors and newcomers to the five-star ancora marina are invited to take a closer look at around 150 boats and yachts. Visitors can look forward to an exciting on-shore programme with 80 pagoda tents in which exhibitors will present equipment, accessories and services for water sports with new products and bargains. Commenting during the run-up to the show, Heiko Zimmermann, Project Director, said: “We are currently receiving registrations from exhibitors almost daily, and the list of boats is getting longer all the time. The hanseboot ancora boat show is the ideal place simply to go on board a motorboat or sailing yacht and take a trip on the Baltic Sea – under the expert guidance of an experienced captain, of course.”
Motor boat highlights featuring “James Bond” look
Many leading European builders and series boatyards such as Bavaria, Dufour Yachts, Jeanneau, HanseYachts, Hallberg Rassy or X-Yachts will be flying their flags at the hanseboot ancora boat show. Boat owners, amateur sailors and newcomers can wander around the boardwalks and check out the latest models as well as a wide range of sailing boats and motor yachts. Representatives of the builders and boat dealers will be on hand to show prospective buyers aboard. Zimmermann noted: “Some of the in-water highlights have already been announced, e.g. Hallberg Rassy will be there with their new HR44, which has just celebrated its world premiere – here for the first time in water, its natural element. And in the motor boat sector we have the Chranchi, a real eye-catcher with that James Bond look in the water.”
Flea market for treasure hunters
A nautical flea market has been added and will be held for the first time on May 28, 2017. People in search of second-hand oilskins, a used winch, a ship-in-a-bottle or old maritime maps are likely to find such treasures there. The hanseboot ancora boat show is the in-water offshoot of hanseboot, the Hamburg International Boat Show, which is held in Hamburg in autumn. The hanseboot ancora is the season’s first in-water boat show in the Baltic Sea region. Last year, it drew 17,000 visitors mainly from north Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.
