Around 76,000 Visitors at International Boat Show

First time visitors particularly interested in motor boats

The 55th hanseboot, the Hamburg International Boat Show, has drawn to a close. From 25 October to 2 November, 2014, almost 560 exhibitors from 18 nations displayed their products and innovations – nearly 500 boats along services for boating. Around 76,000 professionals, hobby skippers and beginners came along over the course of the nine day event.

Organisers, exhibitors, and visitors happy

Bernd Aufderheide, CEO of Hamburg Messe and Congress GmbH, said on Sunday, “We are very satisfied with how the 55th hanseboot went. The team’s hard work paid off and the new concept was a success. Visitors appreciated having more boats and more opportunities to try things out. The exhibitors, happy at the business they did, have confirmed this.”

From kayaks and inflatables to large yachts

With more boats on display than last year, hanseboot offered a broad overview of the market. There was something for everyone and for every budget, from inflatables to large yachts, in the B6 and B7 halls, along with the new, dedicated canoeing and kayaking hall upstairs in B4, whilst at the hanseboot marina visitors could experience the real thing in a huge range of boats.

The 56th Hamburg International Boat Show will take place from 24 October to 1 November, 2015.
