ADC Festival to remain in Hamburg

The festival of the Art Directors Club of Germany will continue to take place in Hamburg until 2018. This year, 15,500 visitors enjoyed the creative event at St Pauli

The ADC Festival 2015 reported a new visitor record, with 15,500 people attending the meeting of the creative industries in Hamburg’s vibrant neighbourhood of St Pauli. After inspections of some other cities, the ADV’s board announced to host also the next three upcoming ADC festivals in Hamburg.

Strong Creative Location

ADC President Dr. Stephan Vogel: “Hamburg has been a great host in the past three years. The huge support given by Hamburg in hosting one of the biggest creative festivals in the world not only led to record participation, but also underlines the strength of the creative and media location Hamburg. Therefore, Hamburg will also be the host of the festivals in the years 2016-18.” The decision by ADC was taken unanimously.

Digital Avantgarde

“We are pleased that the ADC will stay with us in the years to come. The festival befits Hamburg, as it brings together creative excellence, digital vanguard and successful business”, says Dr. Carsten Brosda, Head of the Senate Chancellery Department of Media. Venues and dates have not yet been fixed and will be announced later.

ADC Festival 2015

The ADC Festival 2015 took place from 21 to 23 May at various locations in St. Pauli with various modules, including a Young Talents Day, a congress, a large creative exhibition and the awards show, followed by an after show party. Sponsor of ADC Festival 2015 was the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.
