Household goods and kitchen appliances, innovative lamps, stylish bags, trendy fashion, and new bikes: until 14 September, the iF design exhibition will showcase the contributions of the winners of the internationally renowned iF design awards at HafenCity. There, excellent product, communication and packaging design honoured by international experts, will be presented on 1,500 square metres of exhibition area.
Design in business
“Design is an important economic factor that makes companies and brands successfully compete in global markets. Design acts as a catalyst and brings the innovative power of the company to life. Our exhibition shows how greatly the awareness of design in business increased in the last six decades”, says Ralph Wiegmann, Managing Director of iF.
Next to 800 exhibits, the exhibition also includes exciting interactive modules, showcasing, for instance, all winners of the iF communication design awards. In addition, visitors are able to browse all 30,000 entries for the iF design awards at specially designed digital table.
The world’s most renowned distinction
The iF International Forum Design GmbH is one of the world’s leading design institutions. Its logo, granted as a distinction to the winners of the iF design awards, is an internationally recognised trademark. With more than 20,000 competition entries from 70 countries each year, the iF awards is regarded as the most important design prize in the world.
The Hamburg exhibition will present original product design from the categories leisure/lifestyle – lighting – kitchen – household/tableware und transport until 14 September 2014 in three shows at HafenCity’s Elbarkaden, Hongkongstraße 6, from Tuesday to Sunday, 11. a.m. to 6 p.m.
