New apprentices were recruited for STILL’s sites in Hamburg, Bremen, Hannover, Berlin, Leipzig, Frankfurt, Bielefeld, Dortmund, Stuttgart, Freiburg, Munich, Nuremberg, and Krefeld. The 29 new staff who started their training in the Elbe city were welcomed at Hamburg’s STILL Arena with a large banner saying “Welcome to the world of STILL”. Traditionally based in Hamburg, STILL GmbH is one of the region’s largest employers. In total, 96 young adults are being currently trained in Hamburg, plus further 82 at STILL’s 14 sites throughout Germany.
Many training options
The spectrum of the training ranges from mechatronics, industrial, machining and construction mechanics, industrial, IT, wholesale and export merchants to technical product designers and warehouse logistics, to name a few. Also, students in dual training schemes are working at STILL’s.
“Top German Employer” distinction for the third time
Also, STILL GmbH was awarded five stars – the best possible rating – for the third time in a row in the “Hamburg’s best training companies” competition. The “Hamburg’s best training companies” competition, launched in 2012 by Professor Werner Sarges of Helmut Schmidt University, Hamburg, the Institute for Management and Economic Research (IMWF) and the Hamburger Abendblatt, is designed to enable the Hanseatic city’s businesses to present themselves in a visibly attractive way to potential trainees. In addition, the supplier of customised intralogistics solutions worldwide, has been named “Top German Employer” three times in a row by the independent CRF Institute.
