With the Intermodal Europe 2015, the world’s leading exhibition and conference of the container and intermodal industries has been opened in Hamburg on Tuesday, 17 Tuesday. More than 120 exhibiting companies and 5,000 world visitors from 60 countries will make the Hanseatic city the global hub of the container, transportation and logistics industry.
“We cordially congratulate Intermodal Europe on the 40-year anniversary, and we are delighted that the organizers of this important international industry exhibition have chosen Hamburg and its fair ground for the fifth time as venue of the show” said Bernd Aufderheide, CEO of Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH. “This impressively underscores the importance of our city as a European gateway for foreign trade and global centre of the maritime and logistics industry.”
Founded In 1975 As Container Trade Fair
Intermodal Europe was founded in 1975 as a container technology conference and has been held on an annual basis in various European cities since then. Speakers, exhibitors and visitors of all key sectors in the supply chain meet in the Hanseatic city to learn about new products and services in the field of combined transport and to discuss latest developments. Covering some 10,000 square metres, the conference cum exhibition is taking place 17-19 November under the patronage of the Port of Hamburg.
