Blue Air has begun offering a new, direct flight to the vibrant hometown of The Beatles four times weekly. “Liverpool is an entirely new destination which has not been on our flight schedule before. Hamburg und Liverpool have a special link forged by music. Liverpool is the hometown of ‘The Beatles’, who launched their career with initial concerts in Hamburg,” said Dr. Jörgen Kearsley, Head of Aviation Marketing at Hamburg Airport. Liverpool also has two football clubs, a varied music scene and plenty to offer tourists.
More flights to Romania
The airline is expecting tourists and business travellers among the passengers as Liverpool is an important commercial centre in England. The city has many banks, financial institutions, big companies and is the second biggest port in Britain. Blue Air has also added the Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca to its new connections from Hamburg beginning on June 3 and will fly twice weekly. The airline will also fly to Bucharest three times instead of twice per week from summer 2017.
New connections from Hamburg Airport
Around 14 brand new destinations have been added to Hamburg Airport’s summer schedule and existing routes have been extended to give passengers a greater choice. More airlines are offering connections to popular destinations. Around 60 airlines fly to 130 destinations from Hamburg Airport.
