Hamburg Airport will be the focal theme of the 43rd Hamburg Aviation Forum on “Air Transport and Airport Systems”. On 11 June 2015, a total of eight speakers will explain the relationships in the air transport system and allow close insights into specific fields of research at Hamburg Airport, the airport stated in a press release. The meeting will start from 3 p.m. at Hotel Hafen Hamburg.
Hamburg Airport will be holding four lectures at the meeting. Axel Schmidt, Head of the Environment, will present the development of noise protection in the course of time. Jan Eike Hardegen, also from the airport’s environment department, will talk on the use of hydrogen at international airports by taking Hamburg Airport as an example. Holger Feldhaus from the Aviation Division will showcase the Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) as best practice for the optimisation of ground processes at airports and their integration into air traffic management.

In addition, the Mobile Travel Assistant will be presented at the forum. The Mobile Travel Assistant is an airport-wide, service-oriented online platform, enabling the user to access useful travel information and to do bookings.
